How Interest Rates Affect Us All
Hi readers,
All of us are feeling the pinch brought on by inflation, some more than others. In an attempt to bring down inflation, the age-old tool of raising interest rates is used. Bear in mind that prior to 2020, the interest rates had remained low since the 2008 financial crash. We were all accustomed to paying little interest and probably engaged in some borrowing. With the rise of interest rates now, all the borrowing might be coming back to bite us.
In a recent article I wrote for Coin Bureau, I explored the effect interest rates have on all of us. Whether as an individual or entity, what interest rates are and its partner-in-crime that is credit, and how both of these affects the various areas of the economy.

I hope this article can help you understand a bit the current conversations going on about interest rates, why everyone hangs on to what the Fed do and say, and how that affects all non-Americans directly and indirectly.
As always, please feel free to share this with others who might have an interest in this topic.
Looking forward to your comments and ideas for future issues.
